Female entrepreneurs play a key role in the fight against poverty and in advancing the development of the regions in which they operate. However, the female social entrepreneurship journey is marked by major challenges: Lack of funding, discrimination and missing networking opportunities are only a few obstacles. We want to support the brightest minds who jointly pave the way for a fairer tomorrow with their health, nutrition and agricultural solutions.

Harvesting a healthier future

The Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award is a project dedicated to supporting female founders to succeed and recognise their entrepreneurial spirit. In collaboration with Unknown Group, the Bayer Foundation is ready to remove the obstacles for groundbreaking innovation.

“Winning the Bayer Foundation Women Empowerment Award has catalyzed Farm to Feed, building credibility and curiosity with investors and partners. We also gained valuable exposure through marketing and PR and entered into an inner circle with strong network connections.

During the last year, we closed our first investor, scaled our network from 800 to 6000 farmers, and registered a 10% month-on-month growth. The award has been a game-changer, opening doors and providing us with the resources to thrive.”
